As previously mentioned, Copenhagen is not a huge city and the best way to experience the town is to go by foot or by bike. Getting around town is pretty easy and there are walkways and bicycle paths that reach most parts of Copenhagen. If you prefer public transportation, it is a good idea to choose the metro. The city has four lines that run 24/7 and gets you quickly around town.
If you get to Copenhagen by air, the international airport is located about five miles from the central parts of town. The transfer time is around 15-20 minutes, depending if you go by car or by train. If you arrive to Copenhagen by train, the Central Station is found in the western part of Indre By. From here you can easily walk to the other parts of the city center.
